More than 175 guests including business leaders from across the Hudson Valley and student scholars attended Marist's annual Hudson Valley Scholars Reception on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. This reception gave business leaders the opportunity to meet the students who will benefit directly from their contributions to the Hudson Valley Scholars Program.
Student scholar Marykathryn Gielisse '07, spoke on behalf of all student scholars and thanked the local businesses for investing their time and financial support. She graciously acknowledged their commitment to Marist students and asked the local leaders to continue their generous support this year.
The 2008 Hudson Valley Scholars Campaign is being led again by co-chairs, Richard K. Whalen, DDS, Dental Design Studio and Maureen Cairl, sales associate for Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. They are assisted by 26 local business volunteers.
